Job Description — Art Director

We’re looking for a seasoned Art Director to join our focused team of problem solvers who specialize in getting emerging and challenger brands to go from unknown to unstoppable. Someone who wants to play a meaningful role in a rapidly growing agency making an impact with the client and in the agency culture itself. Someone who appreciates being surrounded by smart, dedicated people who give a shit, but never forget that “it’s just advertising.”

Besides creating “I wish I had done that” creative ideas, our ideal candidate sees opportunity in everything, thrives on collaboration, and checks their ego at the door — because they know a great idea can come from anyone. You want to get your Cheeto-covered fingerprints all over everything, helping to shape the agency’s vision and build the creative team. Job Responsibilities

  • Formulate and develop disruptive ideas for a wide variety of brands 
  • Concept and execute visual solutions for all different forms of media, including brand identity, print, video, presentations, digital, content and things no one has thought of yet from start to finish
  • Understand and appreciate the importance of strategy, and ensure that all ideas are on brief
  • Manage multiple clients and deliverables simultaneously 
  • Work with all disciplines to deliver projects of creative excellence on time
  • Demonstrate strong presentation skills, both internally and with clients
  • Ability to take feedback, adapt and and respond with even better ideas 
  • Look for creative opportunities in unexpected and challenging places 
  • Ability to remain motivated and accountable working remotely with limited oversight
  • Willing and able to travel to Raleigh, NC and other locations for the purposes of team building, client meetings, production, or other job-related activities as necessary (bonus points for already being nearby or open to possibility of relocation…)

Basic Qualifications

  • Portfolio of work demonstrating smart, well-crafted brand building ideas and executions in a variety of categories and mediums 
  • 4-6 (ish) years working in an agency or in-house branding environment develop highly conceptual work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with and ability to handle different types of production 
  • Expert storytelling skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with proficiency working with members of all different departments and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills in communication to clients, internal team, and management  
  • Open to the possibility of relocating to the Raleigh, NC area in the future
