F or small staffing agencies, competing with the larger, national players can be difficult. People 2.0 pioneered a business solution to support the businesses that support business. By pooling their clients’ resources, People 2.0 is able to grant access to a wide range of insurance options, HR resources, program licenses, database solutions, funding opportunities, staffing and organizational support they would otherwise not be able to afford – allowing them to grow and compete against much larger regional and national category leaders.
Putting a Face on the Brand
People 2.0’s business model was a proven success. Our challenge was to help them spread the word to these independent groups – giving them a way to quickly grasp what People 2.0 offered. As a young brand, budget restrictions had a strong influence. Our campaign needed to stand out from the crowd to increase awareness and engagement.
Our solution was to forego the typical ‘we help you grow’ messaging so widely used in the category and focus on the ways in which People 2.0 helped support these businesses. We created a line of characters including Funding Fred, Payroll Pam and Software Stan, each personifying the services provided.
